Our client is a $800+ mill revenue, privately held, commercial service provider that is looking to add a Risk Manager to their organization. This is a newly created position due to company growth. The firm has been in existence for over 70 years, with operations throughout the U.S. They are seeking a talented and committed professional who will report to their General Counsel and senior management. This position will be housed in the DC metro area and some light travel will be required. This position will be an integral part of the firm’s updated Risk Management and Safety/Loss Control initiatives, thus candidates with a proven track record of creating a strong Risk Management Culture will be given top consideration!
The firm is seeking a seasoned Insurance and / or Risk Management professional with the following skill sets:
Minimum 5 to 10 years Insurance / Risk Management experience, with a minimum of 3 years responsibility in overseeing a company with $500+ mill revenue, 4,000+ employees, 2,500+ auto fleet
Experience in construction, landscaping, horticulture, or other outdoor service industry
Formal education to include BS or higher, as well as some Professional Risk Management / Accreditations, such as CPCU, ARM etc.
· Carrier and broker relationships, evaluating market options, negotiating coverage enhancements, and evaluating total cost of risk to include alternative risk structures (captives, SIR’, etc.)
Strong knowledge of multiple Worker’s Compensation laws and tort laws, as well as OSHA regulations and other safety rules, regulations and standards.
Experience in developing and promoting the company’s safety and loss control initiatives.
Compensation will include base salary and bonus, total package in the $130k - $150k range.
