Our client is seeking a Select Department Account Executive - Commercial Lines for their San Jose, Ca.

Position Outline:

• Title – Select Department Account Executive

• Duties

   • Maintain a “book of business” and to handle the day the day servicing needs of our clients, including renewing policies in a timely manner.

   • To provide service to our clients as dictated by our Value Added Service procedures, which may include annual visits to the clients.

   • Prepare proposals and applications, submits them to insureds and carriers, obtains clients’ signatures on all apps, and follows up to ensure timely responses, all in conjunction with department procedures.

   • Marketing new and renewal business, determine premiums and maintains underwriting and marketing information by carrier.

   • Responds to clients’ needs by producing binders, preparing presentation packets, certificates, policies and other related items accurately and on time.

   • Handle phone calls from clients and companies regarding insurance, claims, or administrative problems, and complies with the request.

   • Makes each contact with the client an opportunity to build a trusting relationship.

   • Prepares summaries of insurance schedules and proposals.

   • Assist and coordinates expirations, with and without producers, to obtain renewal and/or new business information. Market and renew policies, according to deadlines and procedures of the department     and meeting the expectations of producers


• College degree preferred

• At least 3 years working in an agency/brokerage

• At least 2 years as an “CSR”, Account Manager, or Account Executive

• Active P & C License

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Customer-service oriented/customer sensitive

• Ability to work independently as well as with a team

• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
